Christmas Tree Branches Turning Brown. We planted a small christmas tree in the garden about 16 years ago and it is now about 12 ft high but from the centre to about 1ft out the needles have turned brown is the tree dying. To get rid of these perfectly normal but still possibly carpet messing brown needles.
Then plant or store until spring. For several days keep it in a cool shaded spot like a garage. I was surprised at how quickly this happened but now it has started to grow new shoots at the tips of the branches.
It was stored in a hot hot attic.
Trees are slow to show problems. There are a number of different tree diseases that can affect the circulatory system of your tree plugging up the vascular system that transports water from one area to the next. This field of christmas trees has been hit with the full force of current season needle necrosis causing their needles to turn brown and then drop out on many farms up to 50 000. Asked on nov 21 2017 my white artifical christmas tree is turning brown.
